What is Satyanarayan Puja?
Satyanarayan Puja (सत्यनारायण पूजा) is a highly auspicious Hindu ritual performed to worship Lord Satyanarayan, a form of Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the universe and the embodiment of truth (Satya). The Puja is usually performed on Purnima (full moon day) or on special family occasions like housewarmings, weddings, naming ceremonies, or birthdays.
This Puja involves offering prayers, reciting the Satyanarayan Katha (story) from the Skanda Purana, and performing a havan (sacred fire ritual)
